Minnie Mouse 3rd Birthday Party
Our soon-to-be big sister (and first-born) Elise wanted nothing more than a "PINK!" party with balloons. Luckily, she's also a big fan of Minnie Mouse, who also loves pink. Being 9 months pregnant, I knew I'd have to hit the "easy" button on this year's party.
Luckily, Amazon came to the rescue with a Minnie Mouse decoration pack and this adorable dress with matching ears (links below.) I also ordered an additional pack of ears for our party guests to wear and take home. I shopped at our city's version of a dollar store to purchase the wrapping paper I used to cover our wall art and to buy goodie bag treats for her and her bestie (due to Covid, we only had her best friend over to help celebrate). I scattered some pink poinsettias around the house and we were ready to party! |
Next up was a simple menu to feed our 4 adults and 2 toddlers:
Pink Le-Minnie-Aid (Crystal Light)
Hot Diggity Dogs (pigs 'n a blanket)
Clara Cluck's Chicken (Anytizers)
Pluto's PBJ & PBN (peanut butter and jelly or Nutella sandwiches)
Oh Toodles Noodles (pasta salad)
Minnie Ears (Oreos)
Goofy's Goldfish (Goldfish)
Pluto's Pretzels (pretzels)
And Minnie-themed cupcakes and cake, of course!
And finally an easy cupcake decorating activity that the kids loved! I used ice cube trays to separate the sprinkles and other edible decorations. I placed a bit of icing into ziplock bags and cut a small opening at the corner so the kids could spread it easily. Elise was all about eating it right away while her friend, Ryan, took his time to use all the decorations. It was adorable both ways!
With lots of balloons floating across the floor, presents, and a ton of toddler energy (and sugar) everyone had a great time (and I wasn't overwhelmed with anything!) Next year we will be having TWO birthdays at about this time so check back and see how it all goes!
